Chemical Pouring/Process Operator
• $23.50/hour • Temp-to-Hire
About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Chemical Pouring / Process Operator to join our Chemical Department. This position is responsible for safely handling and transferring chemical materials, preparing materials for production, and operating increasingly technical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will have prior chemical-handling experience, strong mechanical/technical aptitude, good math skills, and the ability to learn complex processes. This individual must be comfortable working independently, following detailed procedures, and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Bonus Opportunity
- $350 Attendance Bonus for perfect attendance during the first 30 days
Assignment Details
Pay: $23.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities
- Safely transfer liquid materials between drums, totes, tanks, and other containers.
- Measure and determine appropriate material quantities based on tank capacity and current fill levels.
- Prepare and stage materials needed before each pour.
- Perform chemical pouring operations safely and accurately.
- Follow established procedures for chemical handling, transfers, and production.
- Monitor equipment and material levels throughout the pouring process.
- Work around and interact with railcars as required.
- Learn and operate increasingly technical chemical processing equipment.
- Maintain accurate awareness of material quantities and production requirements.
- Complete required tasks independently without constant supervision.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Work overtime as production demands increase.
- Previous experience working in a chemical environment
- Experience transferring liquids between containers, such as:
- Drum to tote
- Tote to tank
- Drum to tank
- Other bulk liquid transfers
- Previous exposure to or experience working around railcars preferred.
- Strong basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to understand tank capacities, current fill levels, and required material quantities.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to quickly learn new equipment and processes after training.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to take on additional hours as needed.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and maintain a positive attitude.
Physical / Work Environment
- Industrial chemical manufacturing environment.
- Regular handling and transfer of liquid materials.
- May work around chemical processing equipment and railcars.
- Must be able to follow required PPE and safety procedures.
- Position may require extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Overtime may be required as production needs increase.
Advanced Training / Additional $1.50 Per Hour
Employees who demonstrate proficiency in the core responsibilities may be trained on additional production responsibilities, including:
- Learning how films are applied to the machine.
- Learning and performing machine changeovers.
- Understanding all requirements before and after each pour.
- Developing a complete understanding of the production process.
- Assisting with training and supporting less-experienced team members.
- Working effectively as part of a team while helping maintain production and quality standards.
