The Adjunct Professor in the School of Business is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in assigned undergraduate and/or graduate business courses. This position supports the University’s mission by fostering student learning, academic excellence, and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to bring practical, real-world experience into the classroom while maintaining academic rigor and adhering to institutional policies and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in areas such as management, accounting, finance, marketing, business analytics, or related disciplines.
- Develop and deliver engaging course content aligned with approved curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Utilize appropriate instructional methods, technologies, and assessment tools to enhance student learning.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course materials.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams, and projects.
- Maintain regular communication with students regarding course expectations and performance.
- Hold office hours (virtual or in-person) to support student success.
- Follow approved course syllabi and ensure alignment with accreditation and academic standards.
- Submit grades and required documentation in accordance with University deadlines.
- Adhere to University policies, including academic integrity and FERPA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with department leadership and administrative staff.
- Participate in faculty meetings or training sessions as required.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
Education
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
