At Steel City Pizza Company, great leaders don’t wait for a title to start leading. They already care about the room, the team, and the guest experience.

If you’re someone who naturally notices when service slips, steps in to help a teammate, and takes responsibility for how a shift feels—not just how it runs—you’re probably who we’re looking for.

We can teach systems, reports, and processes. We can’t teach ownership, presence, or hospitality.

This role is for someone who understands that managing a restaurant means leading the entire operation—front and back of house—and setting the tone for the team.

You lead from the floor, not the office.

You care about the guest experience and take responsibility for the energy of the dining room. You notice when a table needs attention, when a team member needs support, and when the pace of the room needs adjustment.

You value teamwork because you know great restaurants only work when the front of house and heart of house move together.

You bring steady enthusiasm—calm, confident, and focused when things get busy.

You believe in excellence. Standards matter to you, whether it’s hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, or execution.

And you’re always leveling up—learning, coaching, and helping others improve along the way.

You don’t wait to be told what leadership looks like. You already practice it.

You’ll lead daily restaurant operations with a strong focus on hospitality, food quality, and team performance.

You’ll recruit, train, and coach team members, helping build a team that supports each other and takes pride in their work.

When serving as Manager on Duty, you’ll oversee both Front of House and Heart of House operations, ensuring service flows smoothly from kitchen to dining room.

You’ll support the kitchen team as needed, maintain operational standards across the entire restaurant, and make sure both guest experience and food execution stay strong during busy shifts.

You’ll partner with the General Manager to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability goals while protecting the culture of the team.

We lead by our STEEL Core Values:

Service – Treat every guest like they matter—because they do.
Teamwork – One company. One team. One purpose.
Enthusiasm – Positive energy sets the tone.
Excellence – Do it right, even when no one’s watching.
Leveling Up – Keep learning. Keep improving.

We value leaders who act like owners, not renters—people who take pride in the team they build and the experience they create.

If you believe leadership means taking care of people, building strong teams, and making sure both the dining room and the kitchen run well together—we want to meet you.
