Summary: Accountable for accomplishing a wide variety of patient oriented functions associated with day to day operation of the Wound Therapy Clinic and/or organizational needs, in a professional and timely manner.

Education: Certification from a Medical Assistant program preferred. Continues educational pursuits as required to perform all duties associated with the position.

Experience: One to two years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting including direct contact with patients. Must be able to accurately utilize word-processing software, as well as possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires excellent interpersonal skills. Must enjoy working with the public in a patient focused, customer service environment.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Requires mental alertness and focus to work effectively in a patient care environment. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting. Must meet annual safety training requirements relative to a safe work place ensuring patient, staff, and visitor safety. Must meet health-testing requirement, such as annual TB skin test. May be required to lift or move objects weighing 25 pounds from time to time, utilizing effective body mechanics. Must have excellent manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
