Position Summary:
The Rapid Group is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our growing electrical division. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments while adhering to national and local codes. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety‑focused, and capable of reading schematics, troubleshooting electrical issues, and collaborating with other trades. This position is hands-on, field-based, and essential to supporting our customers’ operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment according to NEC and local electrical codes.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Install and repair low-voltage systems including fire alarms and security systems.
• Collaborate with other trades during new construction and renovation projects.
• Test electrical systems to ensure safe and proper operation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment effectively.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and industry safety standards.
• Deliver high‑quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and cost guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Proficient working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrician experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, wiring methods, and NEC regulations.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently and safely.
• Valid driver’s license required for all field roles.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following instructions.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and interacting with clients.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work
