We are looking for a Accounting Intern to join the Accounting Department at Idaho Housing and Finance Association. This role offers exposure to daily accounting operations, direct interaction with employees, and participation in accounting related meetings and activities. You will contribute to special projects and perform the following accounting tasks. This internship aims to enhance your knowledge of accounting functions and foster skill development in interpersonal communication and accounting system and practices. We work with your schedule and up to 20 hours per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable invoice preparation
• Bank Reconciliations as assigned
• Unclaimed Property process support
• Journal Entry preparation
• Scanning and filing documents

May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position qualifications required are the following:

• Basic understanding of Accounting Principles
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Accurate data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team atmosphere in an office setting
• Enrolled as a full-time student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Working hours are 20 plus weekly and can accommodate your schedule.
