About This Position

The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.

Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each

state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and manages the schedule to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, and as may be directed by facility administration.
  • Answers employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions. Prepares written correspondence as necessary.
  • Addresses staff call-ins, as directed by the CNO.
  • Answers applicant calls regarding position availability and coordinates interviews as deemed appropriate.
  • Consults with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs: to assist in elimination/correction of problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
  • Assists in recordkeeping and documentation of attendance and tardiness for employee performance management.
  • Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be accurate, concise and detail-oriented.
  • Must be proficient with the use of personal computers.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Position Title: Central Supply Specialist (CNA) Department: Central Supply Department Number: 711 Reports to (Title): Chief Executive Officer (facility) or Chief Nursing Officer FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Position Summary: Maintains accurate inventory of all items located in Central Supply and in each nursing unit. Utilizes appropriate ordering techniques and processes while protecting the best interests of the facility. Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses/Certification: Valid driver’s license required. CNA certificate required. Experience: Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred. One year of experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Essential Functions Collects and fills supply requisitions, and delivers to the unit/floor. With supervisor’s approval, orders supplies from designated vendors. Receives supply shiipments and routes packing slips to appropriate department heads. Maintains an organized and neat storage area. Maintains accurate inventory records

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses/Certification

  • None required.

Experience

  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
