Description:

Summary: The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is responsible for strategy, management, and implementation of all Human Resource services. This role requires a uniquely talented individual to work and think both strategically and tactically to help ensure every Catalyst team member can achieve their highest potential. The DHR will champion a collaborative, high-performing culture, lead all recruitment functions, create and implement retention strategies, and lead managers in career development. In addition to this strategic work, the DHR will be responsible for employee on-boarding and off-boarding, benefit administration, HRIS maintenance and reporting. The ability to work effectively with all levels of the Organization, communicate effectively and professionally, and live out the Company’s core values are essential in this role.

Responsibilities/Duties:

HR Strategy, Training, and Development – 50%

• Be an active member of Catalyst’s Executive Leadership Team through participation in weekly management meetings as well as quarterly and annual strategic meetings.

• Develop and assist department leaders in mentoring, development, and training programs.

• Integrate Catalyst’s culture in order to develop and implement strategies that strengthen both the existing internal and external culture.

• Foster and grow accountability, engagement, partnerships, and professional development with internal and external stakeholders.

• Partner with the President to consistently develop and improve the Executive Leadership Team’s performance.

• Collaborate with the Vice President/General Counsel to ensure legal compliance and implementation of applicable Federal and State HR requirements.

• Participate in meetings, trainings, and development opportunities to remain current with HR strategies and policies.

• Develop and implement Organizational surveys and employee well-being initiatives.

• Create and maintain key performance indicators that provide data-driven information on workforce stability, manager effectiveness, and market conditions to present to the Executive Leadership Team.

Human Resources, HRIS, and Benefit Administration – 25%

• Establish and administer HR policies and procedures.

• Research, establish, and maintain competitive compensation plans for all levels of the Organization.

• Maintain HRIS database and staff employment records to include but not limited to, performance evaluations, benefits education, 401K, FMLA, disability claims, etc.

• Manage Company benefit programs including health, life, disability, and retirement programs.

• Conduct annual benefits open enrollment processes.

• Manage HR compliance reports to include EEO-1 and VETS100 and external HR audit requests to include DOL and ERISA, etc.

Recruitment and Retention – 25%

• Assist in retaining top industry talent through leadership training, culture keeping, and the creation of incentive plans focused on high performance and safety.

• Manage all full-cycle recruitment efforts across the Organization.

• Review existing and implement new recruitment strategies.

• Coordinate, communicate, and manage new hire orientations.

• Conduct employee separations and exit interviews.

• Review and update job descriptions for all positions and create new descriptions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (MBA, MHRM, etc.) preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • HRIS experience is required with preference to Paylocity proficiency.
  • Three or more years working collaboratively with executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Regularly required to move, sit, and bend for various hours throughout the day.
