Job Description

The Semiconductor Account Manager will sustain sales for existing customers and manage multiple Semi End User and OEM accounts throughout the US. This role focuses on maintaining customer success, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities with INFICONs business objectives. By leveraging industry expertise, particularly in vacuum physics and semiconductor processes, the Key Account Manager will position INFICON as a trusted partner in enhancing operational efficiency and quality for semiconductor clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage sales plans to achieve sales goals within assigned accounts.

  • Identify growth opportunities for INFICONs product portfolio, which includes FDC and Industrial Engineering SW solutions, gauges, ALD coating solutions, and Smart Sensors.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing the specific needs of semiconductor OEMs and Semi End User accounts.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise on the application of INFICON products to meet customer requirements.

  • Manage account activities, including preparing quotes, negotiating sales contracts, submitting forecasts, and creating key account plans and monthly reports.

  • Provide valuable feedback to Business Units regarding product introduction strategies, market trends, competitive analysis, and application requirements.

  • Support pricing adjustments, product recommendations, and updates to sales policies.

  • Collaborate with the Segment Manager and Strategic Account Director to input annual sales goals and refine strategic objectives for the sales territory.

  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes efficiency.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of territory-specific sales and marketing plans.



Qualifications

  • 4 years technical degree (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics) or business
  • 3-5 years of account management experience selling to Semiconductors
  • A track record of establishing new customer connections
  • A history of cultivating existing relationships to ensure prospective sales
  • Skilled in conveying strategic plans with a deep understanding of key account stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills and a solid grasp of our products and their potential applications
  • Ability to identify areas of concern in customer fabs where our product portfolio can offer effective resolutions
  • Versed in software tools, encompassing CRM and MS Office applications
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Proficient in project tracking to proactively tackle potential challenges
  • Must have the ability to work independently, travel to customer sites (up to 25% of the time), and possess strong customer engagement skills


Additional Information

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $80,000 to $100,000 with commission opportunities. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
