Paramedic in Bolivar, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Paramedic to join our team in the Emergency Medical Services Department — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: PRN
• Work Shift: Varies
• Hours: 12 hours every 2 weeks

What Your Day Looks Like: CMH’s EMS Department provides pre-hospital services utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonate, infant / pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

As a Paramedic, you will be:

• Responding to emergency calls to provide treatment and care to patients of all ages
• Preparing and maintaining ambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies
• Assessing and determining scene safety, and/or utilizing community/organizational resources to assure scene safety
• Initiating advanced life support and making an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions
• Transporting patients, utilizing other methods of transportation, or relinquishing patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control
• Documenting a complete assessment on each patient examined using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations

Qualifications

Education: Appropriate Paramedic training course required

Experience: High school diploma required; I year of experience preferred

Skills: Customer service, medical terminology, ability to remain calm and professional during high stress and crisis situations

Licensure/Certification: Current Missouri Driver's License (Class E), an active Missouri EMT-P license, CPR

Physical Requirements: Frequently lift and carry 100+ pounds with a partner, push/pull heavy stretchers, and endure long shifts involving bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs
