Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Position Summary
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management services for individuals receiving behavioral health services within the FQHC setting. You will provide services to adults with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The PMHNP works closely with therapists and support staff to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
- Diagnose psychiatric and behavioral health conditions across the lifespan
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with New York State regulations
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate integrated care services
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, medications, and treatment recommendations
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives consistent with FQHC standards
Qualifications
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license with prescriptive authority
- Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum of one (1) year of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient, community mental health, FQHC, or integrated care settings preferred
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work with persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative care skills
