Position Overview
The Director of Finance will serve as a key strategic leader, responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of a rapidly growing multi-unit hospitality group. This role will lead financial planning and analysis, accounting oversight, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting across multiple venues. The Director of Finance will partner closely with executive leadership, operations, and department heads to provide actionable financial insights, drive profitability, and support strategic decision-making. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong analytical capabilities, experience in multi-unit operations, and the ability to build scalable financial processes that support continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
- Monitor company performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Partner with operations leadership to analyze labor costs, food costs, operating expenses, and profitability across all locations.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to ensure financial stability and support growth initiatives.
- Oversee accounting operations and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Restaurant365 and other financial systems to improve reporting accuracy, visibility, and operational insights.
- Prepare financial presentations and executive summaries for ownership and senior leadership.
- Support new restaurant openings, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives through financial analysis, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Analyze trends, key performance indicators, and market conditions to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
- Manage relationships with banking partners, auditors, insurance providers, and external financial consultants.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local financial reporting and tax requirements.
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding investments, growth opportunities, capital expenditures, and overall business performance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field required.
- 8-10+ years of experience as a Director of Finance or similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll accounting, and federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements.
- Experience overseeing financial procedures and creating processes.
- Proficiency with Restaurant365, Microsoft suite, and strong data analysis skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead a team.
