Job Description

Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center is seeking a compassionate, service-oriented MA or CNA to join our dedicated and close-knit team. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with our clinical staff, patient services, and billing teams to deliver exceptional, coordinated care to our patients and their families. Your ability to collaborate across departments will ensure a seamless experience for patients, from diagnosis through treatment. You will provide compassionate support to patients who have recently received a cancer diagnosis, offering an empathetic ear and guiding them through both the emotional challenges and the financial complexities of their care.

Your interactions will extend beyond patients to include physicians, clients, vendors, and other business partners, ensuring effective communication and maintaining the high standards of professionalism and service that define our center. This role requires someone who is not only dedicated to patient care but also skilled in fostering strong relationships and supporting a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Vitals for Success

  • Assist providers with patient care within the care-team model.
  • Provide excellent care to our patients and their families.
  • Room patients, take patient vitals and document PHI.
  • Collect outside medical records and reports for patient charts.
  • Assist in administrative areas including radiation scheduling and imaging.
  • Maintain appointment flow and organization.
  • Answer patient calls and follow up with patients.
  • Perform environmental tasks and prepare for the next day’s clinic.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and patient payment options available.
  • This position may require you to work at multiple locations and may require some travel.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
  • One or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent keyboarding and administrative skills (strong spelling, proofreading, and grammar skills)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
