Avid is seeking an IT Manager to join our Corporate team. This position will be based in our Corporate office in downtown Chicago. This position is available immediately!
The IT Manager is responsible for the operations of the IT Department to include network management and database administration, as well as IT support and equipment maintenance and inventory, in conjunction with the CTO and vendors. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the IT department, including documentation of processes and creation of step-by-step procedures.
- Administer database and other software platforms, to include user licenses, accounts and permissions/access.
- Maintain all IT related systems, including Cloud based services.
- Set up and maintain company-wide email accounts, distribution lists and calendars.
- Inventory, register and ensure proper function of computer and peripheral equipment for distribution when needed.
- Install, configure, and update all hardware and software on equipment, such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, projectors, etc.
- Facilitate repair of equipment, as well as drop off and pick up, when necessary.
- Manage vendor relationships with providers - software, IT support, and telecom.
- Review all IT related invoices monthly and allocate for submission to finance department.
- Train and assist staff with all IT related issues.
- Work with managers of other departments to plan and implement IT aspects of new projects.
- Acquisition support to include analysis of IT systems and assets and onboarding of new personnel, including onsite support during integration.
- Develop, manage and routinely test system security and backup recovery plans.
- Assess ongoing IT needs of the company and develop new strategies to increase security and efficiency, enhance workflow and improve service delivery/customer satisfaction.
- Ensure internet, phone and conference services are fully operational and performing at maximum capacity.
- Prepare reports as assigned (monthly) or when requested.
- Maintain company website and updates.
- Assist with all external and internal ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.
- Adhere to all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as contract requirement, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or another related field preferred.
- 3+ years IT experience, ideally in healthcare, homecare, or a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security best practices.
- Experience managing EHR, EVV, or care management software platforms, Alayacare preferred.
- Industry certifications preferred.
Travel:
- Inter- and intra-state travel will occasionally be required for business purposes. The employee must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which they work and a satisfactory driving record.
