Position Summary:

Job Duties:
- Consulting with the medical director, Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and clinical team on patient care and services
- Developing, evaluating, and reviewing patient treatment plans and assessments as needed
- History & Physical exams, and Initial Psychiatric Evaluations for new admissions and medical/psychiatric patient follow-ups on a regular basis
- Prescribing medication to patients as needed
- Attends staff training and meetings as required by the employer
- Communicating with pharmacy as needed
- Signing off on GeneSight testing and ordering/reviewing lab results as needed
- Completing notes and signing off on orders within 24hrs of the patient being seen
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing
- Licensed PMHNP/psych-experienced FNP with board certification
- Graduate of an ANCC or AANP accredited nurse practitioner program
- Have an X-Waiver (preferred) and DEA license with active prescriptive authority
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
- Ability to deal with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a nonjudgmental, compassionate fashion
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
- Job requires regular sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, writing, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, implements, or office equipment; talk and hear; stand and walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally be able to assist an adult weighing 100-200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment:
This position is an in-person/office work environment. There will be daily face-to-face interaction with staff and clients. The workday will vary, but it will often include sitting at a desk, working on a computer, meeting with clients, and completing paperwork.
