This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Executive, Tax Workflow based in United States.
This is a quota-carrying, territory-focused sales role responsible for driving new revenue, expanding customer relationships, and delivering growth across a mid-market portfolio.
You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through demonstrations, negotiation, closing, renewal, and expansion.
The role combines transactional and consultative selling in a high-volume, fast-paced environment supported by modern sales technology and data insights.
You’ll engage primarily with customers through phone, virtual meetings, and digital channels while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
Success will depend on your ability to manage a substantial pipeline, forecast accurately, and consistently deliver against ambitious commercial targets.
You’ll collaborate closely with sales development, customer success, account specialists, and solutions consulting teams to deliver compelling customer outcomes.
As a senior seller, you’ll also contribute market intelligence, mentor peers, and help strengthen a disciplined and repeatable sales motion.
- Own monthly new business, expansion, and renewal targets across an assigned territory, taking accountability for commercial performance from opportunity creation through close.
- Prospect, qualify, develop, and close opportunities using a balanced transactional and consultative sales approach.
- Deliver high-impact product demonstrations showcasing tax and accounting workflow solutions and clearly connect capabilities to customer needs and business value.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, objection handling, negotiation, closing, renewal, and expansion activities.
- Use CRM and sales enablement technologies, including platforms such as Salesforce and Gong, to prioritize activity, manage opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, and maintain accurate pipeline data.
- Maintain rigorous territory planning, opportunity management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene to support reliable revenue visibility.
- Identify opportunities for customer expansion while strengthening long-term relationships across the assigned territory.
- Partner with Sales Development, Account Specialists, Customer Success, and Solutions Consulting teams to coordinate sales execution and resolve customer needs.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, customer priorities, and territory trends, sharing actionable intelligence with internal stakeholders.
- Participate in sales meetings, enablement programs, and team events, while serving as a mentor and resource for other sales representatives.
- 5+ years of successful quota-carrying SaaS sales experience, ideally in an Account Executive or equivalent enterprise/mid-market sales position.
- Demonstrated and consistent success meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-volume, transactional, or mid-market environment.
- Experience selling technology, SaaS, workflow, data, or other business solutions through a consultative sales process.
- Previous experience in or exposure to the tax and accounting industry is preferred.
- Strong phone-based and virtual selling capabilities, including prospecting, discovery, needs analysis, product demonstrations, objection management, negotiation, and closing.
- Ability to manage a high volume of opportunities while maintaining accurate pipeline data and disciplined forecasting.
- High proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools; experience with Salesforce and Gong is advantageous.
- Excellent time management, organization, prioritization, and territory management skills.
- Strong commercial judgment, accountability, professionalism, and integrity, with a continuous-learning mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while taking ownership of results from beginning to end.
- Target total cash compensation: $189,000–$351,000 USD annually, including base pay and target sales incentive, depending on location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
