This leadership role sits at the core of global financial integrity, combining technical accounting expertise with strong governance and compliance oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting of restricted donations while partnering closely with fundraising teams to guarantee alignment with donor intent. The position also plays a critical role in strengthening internal controls, safeguarding organizational assets, and ensuring the reliability of financial data across international operations. Acting as a key reference point for financial compliance, you will oversee tax filings, regulatory requirements, and vendor governance across multiple jurisdictions. In addition, you will contribute to strategic financial planning and investment oversight, supporting leadership in high-impact decisions. This is a highly cross-functional and mission-driven role requiring both precision and the ability to operate in a global, multicultural environment.
- Manage end-to-end financial tracking, analysis, and reporting of restricted donations, ensuring accurate allocation of resources and alignment with donor intent in partnership with fundraising teams.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve a global internal controls framework, reviewing key financial processes such as procurement, segregation of duties, and operational workflows to mitigate risks and enhance data integrity.
- Lead financial compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including annual tax filings (Brazil, US and other applicable regions), vendor verification, and regulatory documentation management.
- Develop and update global financial policies, identify opportunities for process automation, and collaborate with regional accounting teams to embed controls into daily operations.
- Provide financial analysis support, peer review outputs, and clear communication of financial information across non-financial stakeholders and global teams.
- Support the Vice Presidency of Finance in investment strategy oversight and contribute to organizational financial governance and decision-making.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields, with a strong understanding of financial management and reporting; postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of Brazilian accounting and financial compliance, with exposure to international financial practices and multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Strong command of accounting principles, including preparation and interpretation of financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for diverse audiences.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong alignment with mission-driven work, ethical standards, and organizational values, including commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Competitive compensation aligned with senior finance roles in the sector.
- Fully remote work structure within Brazil.
- Opportunity to work in a global organization with international financial operations.
- Exposure to strategic financial governance, compliance, and investment oversight.
- Professional development in a mission-driven, multicultural environment.
- Inclusive workplace culture focused on diversity, equity, respect, and collaboration.
- Chance to contribute to meaningful, impact-oriented organizational outcomes.
