This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Bilingual Analyst (French/English), Inbound Calls & Fraud Detection based in Canada.
This role supports the detection, investigation, and management of activities that may indicate financial crime or fraud risk.
You will analyze information from multiple sources, assess potential threats, and determine appropriate next steps in line with established procedures.
The position combines investigative work, data analysis, case management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
You will contribute to protecting customers and the organization by identifying unusual activity and supporting effective risk-management decisions.
The role also involves maintaining accurate investigation records and gathering evidence that may support reporting, loss prevention, or legal proceedings.
You will stay informed about financial crime trends, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards while contributing to process improvements.
This is a fully remote opportunity within Quebec that requires strong bilingual communication skills and sound analytical judgment.
Conduct investigations into activities that may indicate financial crime or fraud risk, assessing findings, making decisions, documenting results, and escalating matters in accordance with established procedures.
Monitor and analyze information from multiple sources, including manually collected data, detection systems, tools, and reports, to identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity.
Evaluate potential threats and investigations using a disciplined, intelligence-led approach aligned with financial crime risk frameworks and applicable standards.
Maintain accurate and complete case and account records by documenting investigative actions, findings, supporting information, and decisions throughout the investigation lifecycle.
Support the collection and preservation of evidence and intelligence for purposes including incident reporting, loss prevention, legal proceedings, management reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement.
Provide guidance, information, and instructions to internal and external stakeholders regarding incidents and related matters when required.
Analyze data and information to identify trends, generate insights, and provide recommendations for improving processes and customer service.
Stay current on financial crime trends, relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and investigative practices.
Collect, organize, and format information to prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
Process service requests, transactions, and inquiries accurately and within applicable service-level agreements.
Handle complex and varied tasks within established policies, procedures, and authority limits.
Support escalations from other employees and help determine appropriate next steps for complex cases.
Identify problems, assess potential causes, and determine appropriate actions or escalation paths.
Provide feedback and recommendations aimed at improving operational processes, investigative practices, and the overall customer experience.
Apply sound risk-management principles when making decisions, protecting organizational assets while complying with applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience combined with a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of financial crime risk requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks is considered an asset.
Familiarity with banking products, services, processes, and organizational structures is considered an asset.
Specialized knowledge relevant to fraud detection, financial crime, investigations, risk management, banking operations, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information, identify patterns, and determine appropriate next steps.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with different stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple investigations, records, and deadlines.
Good collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to exercise sound judgment when evaluating potential risks and handling sensitive information.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures, controls, and escalation guidelines.
Fluency in both French and English, as the role provides support to customers and team members within and/or outside Quebec.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining productivity, accuracy, confidentiality, and service quality.
Annual salary range of CAD $40,500–$80,000, depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
