Autobody/ Industrial Finish Technician at Innodyne Systems LLC – Bloomfield, Connecticut

We are seeking a skilled Autobody/Industrial Finish Technician, responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft components to ensure they meet the highest quality, durability, and safety standards.

What you will be doing…

• Prepare aircraft components by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. This includes removing any contaminants, old coatings, and ensuring the surfaces are smooth and ready for paint application.
• Apply specialized aviation coatings, primers, and topcoats to various aircraft parts, including metallic and composite materials.
• Match colors accurately to the aircraft's specifications and paint schemes. Apply detailing and finishing touches, ensuring a smooth, flawless surface with no visible imperfections.
• Inspect surfaces before and after the application of coatings to ensure there are no defects, runs, or inconsistencies. Conduct touch-ups and corrections as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including paint and material used, and completion times.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for…

You will need to have:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with body work, prep, and spraying of urethane topcoats
• Knowledge of color matching and detail painting, especially for custom paint schemes.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and stand or kneel for long periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain a high level of physical stamina.
• Intermediate level computer skills including basic use of MS Outlook (or other e-mail application), Word, and Excel preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter both orally and in writing.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm or 2nd shift, Monday- Thursday from 1pm-11:30pm

• Familiarity with aviation-specific coatings, such as anti-corrosion and weather-resistant finishes.
