Job Overview:

The Level 4 Machine Operator is a senior-level position responsible for leading advanced machining operations and mentoring junior staff. This role involves operating a wide range of equipment, including the Landis threading machine and multiple CNC systems. Level 4 Operators are expected to manage tool changes, setups, and ensure consistent quality across all production runs. This position requires extensive experience, advanced technical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all Level 1–3 duties.

• Safely operate the Landis threading machine.

• Cycle parts on all CNC machines using vetted programs.

• Change and set tools as needed for CNC operations.

• Maintain a scrap rate of 2% or lower.

• Mentor junior operators and support process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.

• 6+ years of machining experience with advanced CNC skills.

• Expert in GD&T, precision measurement, and CNC programming.

• Proven leadership and troubleshooting abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
