Supervisor Liaison Sterile Processing in Concord, Massachusetts at Emerson Hospital

Reporting to the Manager of Sterile Processing, supervises the day-to-day operations of the Sterile Processing Department on all shifts. The Sterile Processing Department is responsible for the Decontamination, Set Assembly/Preparation, and Sterilization of all medical equipment and surgical instrumentation. The Supervisor Liaison Sterile Processing supervises staff and functions as a direct liaison with the Perioperative Services Managers, Service Leads and staff to plan for scheduled procedures and respond to emergent needs for equipment and supplies, as well as resolution of concerns regarding reprocessing activities, including quality of service and instrument availability. This position participates in planning for surgical cases, procurement of loaner equipment, flow, procedures, and policies that adhere to TJC, AORN and AAMI Guidelines.

• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred

• Experience
  • Minimum of three years experience in the operating room or sterile processing setting

• Licensure and/or Certification

CRCST or CBSPD Required

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Prior OR liaison or supervisory experience preferred
