Position Overview: The Financial Counselor will assist certified financial counselors in delivering financial planning services to caregivers and veterans.

Job Type: Full-time/Exempt

Location: Hybrid – Stafford, VA Office

Anticipated Start Date: March 2026

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial summaries and assist with budgeting tools.
• Coordinate appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Support counselors in providing education on debt management and retirement planning.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards.

• Associate degree in finance or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial services or customer support.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to pass Tier-1 background investigation.
• Must be certified with one of the following organizations: NACCC, AFCPE, or AFC

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with financial counseling programs.
• Knowledge of VA benefits and caregiver support programs.
• Proficiency in financial software tools.
