Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to support ongoing recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient sessions and treatment outcomes
- Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure patient and staff safety
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a PTA
- Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans
