Warehouse associate at Contractors Choice Inc – Columbus, Ohio

Contractors Choice, warehouse Associates will provide unparalleled service as they help Contractors Choice serve its customers. Warehouse Associate handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse.

Duties include
• Unloading and loading trucks. Semi-trucks or Contractors choice personal trucks and make sure the packing slip matches what was loaded or unloaded from a truck.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies
• Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes.
• Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details. Nothing should be wrapped until Shipping and receiving have approved the order.
• Checking ticket for correct contents pulled along with matching serial numbers on equipment.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Grinding and painting reconditioned equipment for inventory and orders
• Putting together equipment for orders and making sure everything is secure.
• Making deliveries when needed
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Commitment to safety in the workplace
• Pass DOT physical
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
