About the Role:
The Nursing Manager for the RTF at Springbrook Behavioral Health System plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality psychiatric nursing care to our RTF patients. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nursing staff adhere to best practices and regulatory standards while providing compassionate and effective care. The Nursing Manager will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes both staff development and patient recovery. Additionally, this role involves the management of unit operations, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance with health regulations. Ultimately, the Nursing Manager will contribute to the overall mission of enhancing the mental health and well-being of the community served by the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in psychiatric nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff in the RTF Unit, ensuring adherence to care protocols and standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in psychiatric care.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care quality and staff performance, providing feedback and guidance as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Manage unit operations, including staffing schedules, budget oversight, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
