Pharmacy Technician, Per Diem, Days at RWJBarnabas Health – Lakewood, New Jersey

Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups and maintaining statistical records,

Qualifications:

Required:

• New Jersey registered
• One year previous pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is preferred, and/or pharmacy technician training course

Preferred:

• PTCB certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem, Days
• Rotating day and holiday/weekend coverage

Essential Functions:

• The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues and medical errors to appropriate personnel
• The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate
