Are you passionate about supporting individuals served while guiding a team in a safe and therapeutic environment? Join our team as a Mental Health Technician III (MHT III), where you’ll provide hands-on care while serving as a lead worker on shift. In this role, you’ll support daily operations, mentor team members, and help ensure a structured, safe, and recovery-focused environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your leadership skills alongside a collaborative, mission-driven team.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a lead worker on shift—guiding MHT staff, coordinating assignments, and ensuring tasks are completed
• Communicate unit updates, individual status, and priorities with clinical staff and incoming shifts
• Conduct routine safety inspections, rounds, and accountability checks to maintain a secure environment
• Observe individuals served, report behavioral changes, and support treatment plans through positive interaction and role modeling
• Provide 1:1 supervision when needed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
• Assist with and oversee documentation, ensuring logs, reports, and observations are completed accurately and on time
• Coach, mentor, and support the training and onboarding of new MHT staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, including sanitation checks and contraband prevention
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

What We’re Looking For

Education
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field (Preferred)

Experience
• Three (3) years of direct care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting (Preferred)
• Experience in healthcare, residential, security, or other high-accountability environments strongly valued

Licenses/Certifications
• Any client-mandated certifications and/or training (Required)

Why Join Us?

As a Mental Health Technician III, you’ll have the opportunity to lead while making a direct impact on the lives of individuals served. You’ll build valuable leadership experience, strengthen your skills in behavioral health and crisis intervention, and play a key role in supporting both your team and those in your care. We offer a supportive, mission-driven environment with opportunities for growth and development in the behavioral health field.
