What You’ll Be Doing:- Supervising and supporting events at our beautiful parks
- Helping with event setup and takedown
- Assisting the Reservations Specialist with scheduling and logistics
- Keeping things organized, smooth, and stress-free for guests
- Work outside in the fresh air

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs a variety of tasks to assist in the oversight of events and District policies during events and programs held on Metro District property as scheduled.
- Uses data to assist in the recommendation and evaluation of improvements to the operation that will provide maximum enjoyment for all the participants.
- Prioritizes excellent internal and external customer service.
- Assists with ensuring the safety of employees and participants; maintains discipline and assists with handling complaints from the public.
- Complies with District and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Assists reservation specialist with reservations and event planning. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Answering reservation calls and assisting public with shelter and event scheduling
- Customer service
- Completing reservation requests using RecTrac software
- Operation of facility equipment including lights at Civic Green Park
- Provides event reports and evaluations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- One year of practical experience in customer service, sales, equipment maintenance, or related field.
- Work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Understand, follow, and transmit written and verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoot issues and remain calm and collected.
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, May through September.
- Establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
- Represent the District in a professional manner, exemplifying integrity and excellence always.
- Maintain a good driving record.
Works under the general guidance and direction of the Reservations Coordinator.
Work ScheduleThis is a seasonal, part-time position working from 10 - 30 hours per week, May through September, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Tools and Equipment UsedMay operate a variety of equipment including motor vehicles. Personal computer, web-based software, Microsoft Office, calculator, phone, cell phone, general office equipment, various hand tools, and cleaning supplies.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
