CAD Operator - Drafting in New Orleans, Louisiana at Petrotech, Inc.

Position Title: CAD Drafter

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support our electrical and control system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying electrical wiring diagrams, control panel layout drawings, and detailed CAD models based on project specifications. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring precise and compliant designs that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify electrical wiring diagrams and control panel layout drawings.
• Develop detailed CAD drawings and 2D animations aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to produce accurate and precise designs.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred but not required) to build and draft designs.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Review, revise, and update drawings as necessary to meet project needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and updates.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience using AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus.
• Proven track record as a CAD Drafter or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in technical drafting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues effectively.
