Our designers work alongside architects, clients, and consultants from early programming and concept development through construction documentation, furniture, and implementation. We’re looking for a Senior Interior Designer who is ready to lead that process—someone who can establish a strong design vision, translate it into a well-coordinated set of documents, build trusted client relationships, and mentor the next generation of designers.

Our portfolio spans hospitality, higher education, multifamily housing, healthcare, religious, performing arts, and civic work, from focused renovations to complex projects exceeding $150 million in construction value.

The Impact You’ll Make

As a Senior Interior Designer, you’ll have meaningful influence over both our projects and our people. You will:

• Lead interior design from programming through completion, establishing the design vision and carrying it through each phase. Collaborate closely with architects and consultants to create cohesive, integrated design solutions.
• Own the interior design documentation process, guiding the development of coordinated DD and CD sets, including plans, elevations, RCPs, finish documentation, details, schedules, and specifications.
• Translate design ideas into buildable solutions, resolving details, coordinating with architecture and consultants, and maintaining design intent as the project develops.
• Build strong client relationships, leading presentations and translating client goals into thoughtful design.
• Guide project teams and mentor designers, reviewing work, providing clear direction, and helping junior staff develop both their design and technical skills.
• Lead material, finish, furniture, and FF&E development, balancing design with performance, budget, schedule, and constructability.
• Stay engaged through implementation, helping ensure the original design intent translates successfully into the built environment.
• Contribute to the growth of our interiors practice by sharing expertise and elevating our work.

What You Bring

You’re an experienced designer with strong creative instincts and the judgment to lead complex work. You know how to move comfortably between big-picture design thinking and the details required to execute it. You communicate well with clients, collaborate across disciplines, and enjoy developing other designers along the way.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional interior design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience leading interior design projects and project teams
• Strong experience developing and overseeing Design Development and Construction Document packages. Thorough understanding of interior plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, details, finish plans, schedules, and specifications
• Ability to review documentation for design intent, completeness, coordination, and constructability
• Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and commercial interior construction
• Experience coordinating interior documentation with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, materiality, detailing, and execution
• Experience working directly with clients and leading design presentations
• Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Experience mentoring and providing design direction to junior team members
