Albers Aero is currently seeking a Quality Manager who provides leadership and guidance, Continuous Improvement mindset/project management. Develops Teammates in all quality assurance functions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO/ AS 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
- Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
- Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
- Lead a team of Quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians
- Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.
- Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions, KPI), including the need for improvement.
- Conduct periodic management review meetings.
- Oversee product recalls.
- Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior quality inspector/manager experience prefer 5 + years.
- Extensive GD &T Knowledge/application.
- Effective verbal and written communication, including use of Microsoft office products.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export
- Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace quality inspector experience/ISO/AS environment.
- Experience operating and programming a CMM.
- Experience in Calibration process.
Physical Demands:
This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in an indoor workshop environment. Activities may include climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 lbs. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close and peripheral vision, and acceptable depth perception. Noise levels range from quiet to extremely loud.
