LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as a Facilities Services Manager in Gainesville, FL. This Position is responsible for assisting in the care and quality of LifeSouth’s facilities, equipment, and fleet and will work closely with the director in initiation new projects company-wide.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

  • Provide input on new policies and procedures as well as assist in implementation
  • Work closely with the Director of Facilities and Asset Management to manage day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department
  • Develop regular maintenance schedules for all LifeSouth Buildings, properties, fleet and major equipment.
  • Perform quarterly inspections for all LifeSouth Buildings
  • Manage and assist in special projects as needed
  • Review and approve regional facilities staff requisitions.
  • Manage requisition approvals and assist Corporate Receiving Clerk with inventory management
  • Provide direction to other facilities staff as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (extensive experience maybe considered in lieu of degree)
  • Two years of supervisory experience required
  • Five years of facility management experience required
  • Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and associated large equipment and systems
  • Interact professionally with all customers, both internal and external
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively
  • Project management experience is preferred

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
