Position Summary
The Commercial Loan Officer III position is responsible for developing new commercial lending relationships and expanding existing client portfolios, with a focus on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending. This role emphasizes business development while maintaining sound credit quality and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is relationship driven, credit savvy, and experienced in originating and managing commercial loans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Originate new C&I and CRE loan relationships through active business development efforts
- Maintain strong loan production, with a target of $15MM+ in annual new originations
- Structure and present commercial credit requests in accordance with bank credit policy
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial loan relationships
- Monitor borrower performance and identify emerging credit risks
- Partner with credit administration and portfolio management on underwriting and loan monitoring
- Prepare credit memorandums, loan proposals, and related documentation
- Ensure loans meet all regulatory, compliance, and documentation standards
- Represent the bank in community and business development activities

Those Required to Enter the Job:
- 5–7 years of commercial lending experience, including C&I and CRE
- Proven track record of originating $15MM+ in annual new loan production
- Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis and loan structuring
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skills
Those Preferred but not Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience with complex or multi entity credit structures
