Senior Software Engineer, Mobile

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build impactful mobile experiences at the intersection of consumer technology, health, and connected devices. You will contribute to applications that help users better understand and improve their health through innovative digital solutions. As part of a talented and collaborative engineering team, you will design scalable mobile products, solve complex technical challenges, and influence engineering best practices. The position requires strong mobile development expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for creating intuitive user experiences. You will work with modern technologies, including AI-powered development tools and health sensor integrations. Accountabilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and improving high-quality mobile applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • Design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve mobile software solutions.
  • Develop best-in-class wellness and health-focused mobile applications with a strong focus on usability and performance.
  • Own technical solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and promote scalable engineering practices.
  • Manage project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring product quality.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide reliable solutions.
  • Mentor and support other engineers through knowledge sharing, coaching, and technical guidance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Work with connected health technologies, including wearable devices and health sensors, to create seamless user experiences.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong mobile engineering experience, excellent technical judgment, and a passion for building products that positively impact users.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of professional Android development experience or 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building software with Kotlin or Swift.
  • Experience developing mobile applications that integrate health sensors such as continuous glucose monitors, smartwatches, blood pressure monitors, or smart scales.
  • Strong experience building modern mobile interfaces using Jetpack Compose or SwiftUI, with commercial experience preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing local databases, including SQLite, and mobile-side caching solutions.
  • Comfortable using AI-powered coding assistants and modern development tools.
  • Strong engineering judgment, with the ability to evaluate simplicity, maintainability, user experience, and technical trade-offs.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, including Flutter, Dart, Python, AWS, and AI system design when required.
  • Preferred experience with both iOS and Android development, Flutter/Dart, Python-based AI development, mobile CI/CD, Bluetooth/IoT solutions, and mobile security.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position.
