QA Tester

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Tester based in United States.

The QA Tester will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions through comprehensive testing practices.
This position supports multiple testing activities, including system testing, regression testing, mobile application validation, and user acceptance testing.
The role requires close collaboration with development teams, business stakeholders, and customers to identify issues and improve application quality.
The successful candidate will contribute to building efficient testing processes, creating detailed test scenarios, and validating critical system enhancements.

Accountabilities:

The QA Tester will be responsible for designing, executing, and improving testing processes to ensure software solutions meet functional, technical, and business requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ownership of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Participate in requirement discussions and analyze business and functional needs related to system changes and enhancements.
  • Review requirements to develop a clear understanding of expected system behavior and testing objectives.
  • Create detailed system test cases covering workflows, front-end functionality, batch processes, and back-end requirements.
  • Develop field-level test cases to validate data accuracy, business rules, and system edits.
  • Participate in peer reviews of test cases and incorporate feedback to improve testing coverage and effectiveness.
  • Prepare test data for system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality across different testing phases.
  • Develop automated test scripts using Unified Functional Testing (UFT) tools.
  • Identify, document, and validate defects by collaborating with development teams through resolution.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality.
  • Support user acceptance testing by providing test data, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Conduct production validation testing to confirm successful releases and system stability.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong software testing experience, a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, independence, and experience delivering quality assurance solutions in remote environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in requirements analysis, manual testing, automated testing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Experience creating and executing automated test cases and test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience supporting system testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and production validation testing.
  • Experience with accessibility testing, including 508 compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, particularly SAFe Agile environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in remote teams while maintaining communication and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical teams and clients.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple testing activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing role and collaborating with stakeholders at different levels.
