You will take ownership of complex engineering challenges, improve platform reliability, and contribute to the evolution of large-scale cloud-native infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Building, operating, and enhancing Kubernetes-based build platforms that transform package specifications into production-ready artifacts.
- Improving system reliability, scalability, performance, resource efficiency, and multi-architecture support across production environments.
- Maintaining and evolving package build tooling with a focus on stability, testing, observability, patch management, and operational excellence.
- Developing automation for package rebuilds, validation workflows, dependency analysis, and operational processes to reduce manual effort.
- Designing monitoring solutions, dashboards, alerting systems, and automated remediation capabilities to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Contributing to technical roadmaps for build and update services while helping define long-term platform improvements.
- Documenting architectures, systems, and operational practices to support knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
- Supporting software package updates and improvements to maintain secure, reliable, and up-to-date infrastructure.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong backend development skills, distributed systems expertise, and a passion for building reliable infrastructure. You should be comfortable working independently, collaborating remotely, and solving complex technical problems across multiple layers of the stack. Required qualifications and preferred experience include:
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally focused on backend systems, distributed systems, or developer platforms.
- Strong experience building production services using Go.
- Proven experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production systems at scale, including incident response and operational improvements.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge and experience working with cloud-native technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, and modern infrastructure design.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms, developer tooling, internal platforms, or build infrastructure.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and automated deployment workflows.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex distributed environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure; familiarity with services like BigQuery, IAM, and Cloud Logging is a plus.
- Experience with software packaging, build systems, Kubernetes operators, observability tools, ARM64 environments, or dependency management is highly valued.
- Ability to communicate effectively, manage priorities independently, and collaborate within a remote-first engineering organization.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity while applying strong technical judgment.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package with salary, equity opportunities, and additional benefits.
- Fully remote-first work environment with opportunities for team meetups and company-wide gatherings.

- Stock options available upon joining and through promotions, with extended flexibility for exercising options.
- Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance coverage for employees and dependents.
- Flexible paid time off policy to support work-life balance and sustainable performance.
- Paid parental leave, including extended leave options for new parents.
- Opportunity to work on impactful technology that improves software security and reliability at global scale.
- Inclusive and collaborative culture focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
