Job Description
Torus is headquartered in Utah and is expanding manufacturing at our 545,000-square-foot facility in Salt Lake City called GigaOne. We are the world’s first mesh energy infrastructure, uniting communities through resilient, sustainable, and intelligent power. We design, engineer, manufacture, install, and support our systems end-to-end, standing behind them throughout their lifecycle. Torus systems help reduce costs, lower emissions, and protect facilities from outages, while strengthening the security and reliability of the broader utility grid. Torus is committed to American manufacturing, engineering excellence, and building energy systems that last.
Torus has raised over $267 million from investors like Magnetar, Mercado, ICONIQ and Origin Ventures. The investments are helping to accelerate deployment of modular power plants across utilities, data centers, and industrial sectors. This investor confidence reflects the strength of our team, technology as well as the scale of the problem we are solving.
At Torus, you will be part of something larger than a single product or technology. Your work will help build energy infrastructure that supports and strengthens our electrical grid, critical systems, industry, and communities for decades to come. We value accountability, collaboration, and clear thinking. We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.
About the RoleAs the General Supervising Electrician within Overwatch, you will be the foundational cornerstone of Torus’s expansion into the Pacific Northwest. You will take the successful blueprint we have established in Utah and build it from the ground up in Oregon. You will serve as the highest field-level technical authority across Torus's fleet spanning battery (BESS) and flywheel (FESS) installations across multiple regions and jurisdictions. This role is intended for a highly experienced electrical leader who has already spent a decade or more in the field and several years directing multiple crews.
You are the final word on complex technical judgment calls in the field, the person other Journeymen and Leads escalate to when a problem exceeds their authority, and the standard-setter for how Torus performs electrical work safely and correctly across every jurisdiction it operates in. You carry deep, hands-on expertise across commercial, residential, industrial, and utility-scale electrical equipment, and you bring that breadth to bear on rapidly evolving energy storage technology.
Beyond the field, you are a key voice inside Overwatch, shaping how Torus monitors, dispatches, and supports its fleet, and a direct line of feedback into Product, ensuring what gets designed and built reflects what actually works in the field.
Who You AreYou are a seasoned electrical leader who has done the work at every level and is now ready to set the standard for how it's done across an entire fleet. You think in systems not just individual sites and you're comfortable being the final technical authority when something needs to get resolved correctly and quickly. You lead by example, communicate clearly under pressure, and take real ownership of the safety and quality of every job across your regions. You're motivated by building something durable: standards, people, and processes that outlast any single site or shift.
