This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven business development professional to contribute to a long-term growth strategy across North America.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new B2B opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
The role combines consultative selling, prospecting, account management, and market development within the financial and insurance solutions space.
You’ll build and manage a qualified pipeline through networking, referrals, agency and banking relationships, and proactive outreach.
Working with businesses across an assigned territory, you’ll help clients understand specialized credit-related solutions and identify opportunities aligned with their needs.

- Achieve annual revenue objectives through consultative B2B sales, including new client acquisition and renewal of existing business.
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients aligned with strategic growth and retention objectives.
- Develop an active pipeline of qualified prospects through direct prospecting, cold calling, networking, and relationships with banks, insurance agencies, business owners, and CFOs.
- Market and sell specialized financial solutions, including domestic and export credit insurance and related credit services, to corporate clients within the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities by researching target markets, prospects, industries, and competitive dynamics.
- Develop trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients by understanding their business needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Monitor client programs and coverage to support retention, satisfaction, and long-term account growth.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend relevant solutions.
- Participate in workshops, training, and professional development activities to strengthen technical, commercial, and industry expertise.
- Work independently while collaborating with internal teams to support successful client acquisition, onboarding, servicing, and retention.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- At least 3 years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally within financial services, banking, insurance, or another consultative solution-selling environment.
- Experience with trade credit insurance is an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in new business development, client acquisition, account retention, and revenue generation.
- Strong cold-calling and prospecting capabilities, with the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment.
- Established professional network within the Vancouver market or designated territory is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial or insurance solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, organization, and ability to manage a sales territory with a high degree of autonomy.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
- Property & Casualty (P&C) license required, or willingness and ability to complete the required P&C course and obtain licensing within 60 days of starting.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
