The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Second Year Pipefitter Apprentice to support our Midstream client in Conklin, AB.
Shift: 10 and 4, 10 hours per day
Start Date: May 28, 2026
This project is estimated to be 6 weeks in duration.
Compensation/Benefits
• Wages range based on experience
• Overtime at 1.5 x after 8 hours per day
• 10% vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked
• Benefits 50/50 split after 90 days with the company
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen with daily tasks in pipefitting installation and maintenance.
- Learn to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Follow safety protocols and participate in toolbox meetings.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and progress in the trade.
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- Registered as an Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter.
- Previous industrial construction experience (mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial) preferred.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must have valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, CSTS-2020 (or equivalent)
- Standard First Aid is an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
- Valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract and ability to pass pre-employment requirements.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
