How You Contribute to The Team

The HR Generalist handles essential day-to-day operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Build and maintain collaborative work relationships, foster positive employee engagement, and support the implementation of Company initiatives.
  • Perform full cycle recruitment activities to include posting job ads, sourcing candidates, interviewing, extending job offers and coordinating pre-employment screening.
  • Conduct new employee and benefits orientation.
  • Enter employee data, benefit enrollments and status changes in HRIS. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assist with benefit open enrollment and administer leave of absences and workers’ compensation benefits as requested.
  • Provide human resources policy interpretation and guidance on topics such as recruitment, benefits and employee relations.
  • Coordinate employee and community events and recognition programs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and regulations to minimize legal risk and ensure organizational compliance.

What You Need to Succeed

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • 3-5 years of human resources experience.
  • Strong computer skill proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with HRIS platforms.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees, applicants and external partners. Ability to translate HR information accurately and professionally.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles, best practices and employment law.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement, problem solving, conflict management and decision-making with sensitive and confidential issues. Ability to manage emotions effectively.
  • A high level of attention to detail, organization and follow-through skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Human Resources certification (i.e. SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP).

This is an onsite, part-time position (up to 16 hours per week). Team members are paid weekly. The target hourly pay range is $30.00 - $35.00 depending on qualifications, experience, education, and other factors.
