JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join the team at the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel. This role is essential in ensuring guest rooms are maintained in a clean, welcoming, and orderly manner, in line with our high standards of quality. Responsibilities include cleaning, dusting, bed making, vacuuming, replenishing amenities, and creating an exceptional guest experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and vacuum guest rooms; collect soiled linens, make beds, replenish supplies, empty trash, and respond promptly to guest needs.

• Report any room deficiencies (e.g., burnt-out light bulbs, broken items) to the Housekeeping Office.

• Update daily assignment sheet with completed rooms; note any missing items such as robes or amenities.

• Turn in lost-and-found items to Security per hotel policy.

• Use approved cleaning materials and products provided by the housekeeping department.

• Maintain housekeeping equipment in clean, safe condition.

• Keep housekeeping closets clean and organized.

• Perform additional duties and special tasks assigned by the Floor Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

• Maintain ongoing communication with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor to address rooms requiring extra attention.

In addition to performing the key responsibilities, this position may require the following skills and experience:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 15 lbs or more.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.

• Regularly required to lift and carry up to 15 pounds and occasionally more.

• Manual dexterity to operate cleaning tools, equipment, and other job-related items.

• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, as required by business needs.
