Job Description
Now Casting: Laser Tag Operator — The City Forum
Every great show needs someone who brings it to life.
At The City Forum, laser tag isn't something Guests play — it's something they experience. And you're the one who makes it unforgettable.
As a Laser Tag Operator, you're the face of the arena. From the moment a squad steps up, you set the tone: the welcome, the mission briefing, the countdown, the celebration when the scores light up. Whether it's two players or twenty, the first show of the day or the thirty-first, the curtain is always up — and the energy never drops.
Your role in the show:
• Welcome every crew and set the stage for their adventure
• Deliver mission briefings and safety instructions with showmanship
• Launch and run games in character, keeping every Guest in the story
• Organize squads, keep the game flowing, and champion fair play
• Celebrate every team's scores and send Guests out already planning their return
• Prepare, test, reset, and troubleshoot the arena's equipment between shows
• Keep the arena clean, safe, and always ready for the next audience
• Help with registration, queues, and arena needs wherever the show requires
Who shines here:
• The person people hand the microphone to — the one who takes over the huddle, leads the cheer, gets the whole room going. Doesn't matter where you learned it.
• Someone who can command a room of amped-up kids AND their parents — and get both cheering
• Someone whose twentieth show has the same spark as their first
• Someone who wants to be paid to perform, not to stand behind a counter
The details:
• Starting pay is $11–12 per hour, based on your audition and demonstrated ability to lead the arena experience
• All new Operators complete safety certification and mission training
• Operators who consistently deliver the show — energy, attendance, safety, registration — advance to $13.50 per hour as a Proven Operator
• One $15-per-hour Lead Operator role is earned through internal promotion from the Proven Operator team
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays are showtime — that's when the arena is full and this role is at its best
Advancement here is earned the same way applause is: by delivering the experience, every single show.
Your audition: the interview is the show. Come ready to take command of the arena and show us how you'd turn twenty strangers into one story they'll tell all week.
The stage is set. The Guests are waiting. All that's missing is you.
