Futures has an immediate need for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with experience in addictions (including detox), and eating disorders.

Duties and Competencies:

• Work cooperatively with residents, families and stakeholders assistance with their healthcare needs.
• Assess and determine the individual needs of residents upon admission and during monitoring.
• Communicate the medical needs of residents to the Director of Nursing
• Administer prescribed medication.
• Provide assistance to Director of Utilization Review in communicating pertinent nursing information.
• Oversee resident medical records and ensure that all nursing documentation is accurate and truly reflects the resident’s medical condition.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to assist in planning and revising goals and objectives.
• Assist the Director of Operations in maintaining the overall Health and Safety of residents, staff and employees of Futures.
• Actively participate in all Risk Management and Performance Improvement activities and meetings.
• Assist with communicating Critical Incident Reports to the Director of Operations.
• Ensure that delivery of nursing services meets and complies with Florida State licensing requirements and CARF standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Florida R.N. license required. Master’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Detox experience strongly preferred, but will consider substance abuse and/or eating disorder experience.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or treatment center setting.
• Must be team-oriented and have strong nursing as well as administrative skills.
• Ability to work on several assignments at once, good communication skills and strong medical background to support the clinical needs of Futures.
