Job Description
The Shipping Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments at Pelsis. This position is responsible for supporting shipping and receiving operations, including preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring all items are correctly labeled and documented. Additionally, this role assists with cutting netting materials to specified measurements, maintaining accuracy and adherence to quality standards. The Shipping Associate works closely with warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy and facilitate timely deliveries to customers. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize errors and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. Ultimately, the Shipping Associate contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by ensuring products reach customers in a timely and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick and pack orders
- Process, prepare, and receive shipping orders.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Load and unload shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the shipping department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of shipping coordination experience preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. regularly and perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, handling paperwork, and operating shipping tools and scanners.
- Frequent standing, bending, walking, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Use of hands and manual dexterity for handling, cutting, and packaging materials.
- Exposure to warehouse conditions including varying temperatures, noise and dust.
