This role sits at the center of enterprise transformation, driving how large-scale organizations design, implement, and continuously improve their operational processes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that shape efficiency, scalability, and quality across complex clinical and business environments. Acting as a key driver of change management, you will translate strategic priorities into actionable programs that improve performance and standardize best practices. The position requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to identify gaps, manage risks, and ensure alignment with governance and regulatory expectations. You will also play a central role in establishing KPIs, operational frameworks, and continuous improvement systems that enhance organizational maturity. In a fast-paced, highly regulated life sciences context, your work will directly influence execution quality and long-term operational effectiveness.
You will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide operational excellence initiatives and ensuring consistent execution of transformation and process improvement strategies across the organization.
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs and enterprise initiatives from initiation to completion
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics aligned with strategic priorities
- Manage risks, dependencies, and issues while implementing structured escalation and mitigation approaches
- Drive process improvement, optimization, and automation opportunities across business workflows
- Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption, sustainability, and consistency of new processes
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor operational performance and support decision-making
- Partner with stakeholders to standardize best practices, governance alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives
This role requires a highly experienced operational excellence leader with strong expertise in clinical or life sciences environments and a proven ability to drive enterprise transformation.
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant experience in operations, clinical research, or process excellence
- Strong experience in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or drug development environments
- Deep knowledge of clinical operations and cross-functional drug development processes
- Proven experience in change management, process improvement, and enterprise program delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using performance metrics and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across senior and cross-functional teams
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools and familiarity with data-driven and web-based platforms
- Competitive annual salary range: CAD $149,000 – $223,400 (based on experience)
