Accountabilities:

  • Define testing scope, methodologies, priorities, and test cases based on system requirements and project objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test procedures, test scripts, and supporting documentation to ensure consistent and thorough testing.
  • Determine high-priority and high-risk areas requiring additional testing attention and allocate testing resources accordingly.
  • Execute system, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing for cybersecurity-focused systems and services.
  • Troubleshoot systems at both the hardware and software levels to identify and isolate issues affecting test outcomes.
  • Document test results, maintain test evidence, and provide timely reporting to support project milestones and compliance requirements.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using appropriate test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and other technical stakeholders to reproduce issues, investigate root causes, and validate corrective actions.
  • Ensure testing activities align with applicable organizational and Department of War (DoW) testing standards and acceptance requirements.
  • Communicate testing status, findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in system testing, software testing, integration testing, or a related discipline within an enterprise or government environment.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing test procedures and test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of system, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements, architecture diagrams, system specifications, and security documentation.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems across hardware and software components.
  • Proficiency with defect tracking and test management platforms such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for documenting test results, defects, risks, and technical findings.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize testing activities according to risk and project objectives.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with developers, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Active Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–50% as required by the role.
  • Experience with Department of War acceptance testing requirements for complex systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as least privilege, continuous authentication, and micro-segmentation is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Salary range: $85,093–$115,000, with actual compensation determined by experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Full-flex work week designed to support work-life balance and personal priorities.
  • Comprehensive medical and wellness plan options, including plans with Health Savings Accounts.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching and pre-tax and post-tax contribution options.

  • Paid parental, military, bereavement, and jury-duty leave.
  • Up to 160 hours of paid family leave during a rolling 12-month period for eligible employees.
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness, and business travel and accident insurance options.
  • Professional development opportunities, including employer-supported education and certifications.
  • Access to cutting-edge technologies and opportunities to expand technical expertise.
