SAGE Black is seeking qualified candidates who are Senior Optical Communications Engineers within a Carrier Engineering and Optical Transport role to work on a new, long-term, exciting program out of our Washington Metro Area. As an Senior Optical Communications Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art communication systems for space-based applications.

Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test. Candidates will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):

Active and Valid TS/SCI Clearance

Bachelor's Degree or higher

6+ years Experience

Experience with electro-optical systems.

Experience with Communication Systems Engineering (RF and/or Optical).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience):

Experience Matlab/Simulink and C++.

Experience in RF and digital signal processing (DSP).

Experience with digital/RF communications hardware and lab equipment.
