Job Description
Texas Biomed is growing its accounting team and adding an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will perform accounting functions associated with accounts receivable and other financial transactions.
The Role:
· Assists with AR customer billing to include setting up customers, preparing invoices, and collections.
· Enters financial data entries into the accounting system for processing, review and approval.
· Responds to internal and external requests for documentation or information, updating or researching information as needed to ensure quick resolution to issue.
· Prepares and maintains various files, schedules and spreadsheets, as needed.
· Assist in importing data in the accounting system, such as award templates, budget modifications, financial data such as GL accounts, posting dates, etc.
· Assist in preparing journal entries and various adjusting entries for review and approval.
· Assist in reconciling various general ledger accounts.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance related field form an accredited college/university preferred
· 4+ years accounts receivable experience required
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Excel and Word
· Knowledge of principles and practices of general accounting and financial record keeping
· Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
