About This Position
Position Description:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk processes bank and other reconciliations, prepares invoices, and maintains student billing data. This role manages gift card records, assists with student assistance payments, and reviews deposits and invoices for accurate accounts receivable tracking. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will also scan and file financial records, perform data entry, and collaborate with the Development team on deposits, funds, and pledges. Additional duties and special projects may be assigned as needed. The candidate must be detail oriented and good with numbers. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, hired by and directly accountable to the Controller.

Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain invoices and student data for billings.
Process monthly bank reconciliations and other reconciliations as needed.
Maintain gift card records and logs. Serve as back-up to the Accounting Specialist in managing other student assistance payments and logs.
Review weekly deposits and billing invoices to ensure accurate tracking of Accounts Receivable.
Scan, file, and retain records in the financial system.
Complete data entry.
Liaison with Development on deposits, funds received, annual pledges, events, etc.
Participate in process documentation and cross-training for the finance department.
Perform other duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma/GED required.
Associates Degree or 60 credit hours of college preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge accounting software or similar software preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet applications
Interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and organizational skills
Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Ability to independently plan, schedule, carry out and meet multiple deadlines
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Knowledge of virtual meeting applications
Excellent customer service skills
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm and Friday 9am-2pm (some Evenings and Saturdays required)
Estimated Hourly Rate: Estimated at $20.00-$23.00 per hour

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must possess a valid Class C Texas Drivers License or obtain a valid Class C Texas Drivers License within thirty (30) days after becoming a resident of the State of Texas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking to perform the essential functions.
