We are searching for full-time licensed therapists! (will consider part-time if the right candidate can commit to 15 billable hours per week)

Requirements:

Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, a working vehicle, and auto insurance.

Applicants must have a master's degree (M. A. / M. S.); and one year of related experience or training.

Job duties include:

  • Provides quality individual, youth, couple, family, and/or group therapy, directed toward the client’s diagnosis and needs of mental health and/or substance use concerns.*
  • Provides services in an outpatient and/or community setting.*
  • Demonstrates the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, recovery planning, and treatment interventions by Alternatives in Psychological Consultation’s provision of care policies.*
  • Understands and utilizes a variety of therapeutic interventions according to clients' needs, individual strengths and needs.*
  • Provides treatment to clients in a patient and helpful manner.*
  • Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with other professionals both within the community and the clinic.*
  • Functions well both as a team member and independently, as needed.*
  • Completes case reviews with the clinical director or his/her delegate following state guidelines.*
  • Maintains ongoing/current understanding of the American Psychological Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.*
  • Adheres to paperwork/charting and billing standards as outlined in the department's policies and procedures as dictated by state and county contractual agreements.*
  • Understands and adheres to mandatory reporting and privacy law requirements such as HIPAA.*
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide treatment suited to the client’s age.*
  • Continues professional growth and development by actively participating in continuing education and training activities, both within and outside the agency.*
  • Maintains certification or ongoing training in specialty areas.*
  • Utilizes clinical supervision, peer review activities, and consumer satisfaction feedback effectively and regularly.*
  • Works well with a diverse client population.*
  • Demonstrates flexibility in accepting and treating clients outside of a particular area of specialization.*
  • Provides crisis intervention to new and current clients as needed, including participating in the emergency on-call therapist rotation.*
  • Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude in the workplace.*
  • Adheres to clinical and ethical standards outlined in Alternatives in Psychological Consultation’s outpatient policy and procedures manual, as well as additional professional standards as dictated by licenses and certifications held.*
  • Provides for the safety, security, and confidential treatment of clients, guests, and staff.*
  • Participates in the performance improvement process and related activities as requested.
  • Provides community education and outreach, including referral development and marketing efforts to generate new business.
  • Participates in on-call, emergency staffing with other Alternatives in Psychological Consultation therapists and employees as needed.
  • Makes appropriate referrals to services within or outside the agency, as needed.
